High School Science Teacher and/or Secondary Special Education Teacher
Join RFK Community Alliance as a full‑time Science Teacher in Lancaster, MA. The position supports students 10‑22 years old in a therapeutic day school and contributes to functional and academic education within a therapeutic milieu.
Pay Range$70,000 – $80,000 per year + $2,500 Sign‑On Incentive
Key Responsibilities- Operate a classroom that meets safety, educational growth, and social/emotional development needs.
- Evaluate students’ specific educational needs and develop Science plans and programs.
- Produce formal and informal Science assessments for each student.
- Assist in the development of Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals with the Education Coordinator.
- Provide instruction necessary to meet Science IEP goals and curricula based on Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks.
- Participate in team, treatment, behavior management, and staff meetings.
- Supervise and develop a positive team atmosphere with colleagues and assistants.
- Model positive adult behavior and collaborate with RFK staff and outside partners.
- Assume other responsibilities necessary to ensure program safety and continuity.
- Bachelor’s Degree required;
Master’s Degree preferred. - MA teaching certification in Science or Moderate Disabilities.
- Valid Massachusetts driver’s license.
37.5 hours per week:
Monday – Friday, days; 12‑month benefited position.
