POSITION SUMMARY

The Multi‑Modality Radiology Technician is responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures in various modalities, including X‑ray, CT, MRI, and Ultrasound. The technician will ensure high‑quality patient care and imaging results while adhering to established protocols and safety standards. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to adapt to different imaging technologies.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

  • Associate’s degree or higher in Radiologic Technology or related field from an accredited program.

Licensure:

  • Current licensure as a Radiologic Technologist New Hampshire.
  • ARRT Certification in Radiography. Additional certifications in CT, MRI, and/or Ultrasound preferred.
  • Association
    * accredited course in Basic Life Support (BLS) (for clinical staff), or Heartsaver CPR AED (for nonclinical staff), and renewal on a regular basis, with up to a three‑month grace period after the expiration date.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in operating radiologic equipment and software.
  • Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail‑oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to adapt to changing circumstances.

Work Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a medical imaging environment.
  • Experience in multiple imaging modalities preferred.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Perform diagnostic imaging procedures across various modalities while adhering to department protocols and standards.
  • Prepare and position patients for imaging procedures, ensuring safety and comfort.
  • Operate imaging equipment, adjusting settings to obtain optimal imaging results.
  • Review and evaluate images for technical quality, clarity, and alignment with diagnostic requirements.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, documenting procedures, observations, and results.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to interpret and review imaging results.
  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, including radiation safety and infection control protocols.
  • Assist in the development and revision of departmental policies and procedures.
  • Provide patient education and communicate the imaging process and any preparations required.
  • Perform routine maintenance on imaging equipment and report any malfunctions to appropriate personnel.
  • Stay updated on advancements in radiologic technology and participate in continuing education opportunities.
  • Participate in quality control and quality assurance activities to maintain high standards of care.
  • Manage imaging schedules and coordinate with other departments to ensure timely service delivery.
  • Train and mentor junior staff and radiology students on imaging techniques and procedures.
  • Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related tasks and projects as needed.

  • Please Note

    All new hires are required to attend a mandatory three‑day orientation at Weeks Medical Center in Lancaster, NH. This orientation provides essential training, compliance information, and an introduction to our organizational culture to ensure a smooth and successful transition into your role. Attendance on all three days is required for onboarding completion.

    Additionally, if Weeks Medical Center is not your designated home base, you will be eligible for travel reimbursement in accordance with our standard travel policy.
