Pharmacist; Float- Per Diem

Position Summary

• The primary responsibility of the Staff Pharmacist is the compounding and dispensing of medications in accordance with hospital policy, professional standards, and state and federal regulations. This position will have the ability to float to all NCH affiliates as needed for coverage with a home site of Weeks Medical Center.

  Licenses/Certifications:
  
  
• Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy.
• Current New Hampshire pharmacy license.
• Work Experience, Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
• Prior experience in institutional pharmacy with working knowledge of intravenous admixtures, parenter voim ann, chemotherapy, and unit‑dose systems is preferred.
• Training and/or experience specific to pharmaceutical dosages and practices regarding pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients is required.
• Experience with computer systems and their application to the clinical, clerical and operational aspects of hospital pharmacy is desired.
• Good verbal communication skills are required.
• Familiarity with computer applications required.
• Must have technical aptitude and a willingness to learn software applications used at AVH.
