- Graduation from an accredited nursing program with an Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program with an Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license or eligibility to obtain an RN license in the practicing state.
- Association accredited course in Basic Life Support (BLS) (for clinical staff), or Heartsaver CPR AED (for nonclinical staff), with renewal on a regular basis, with up to a three-month grace period after the expiration date.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team.
- Proficiency in basic computer and medical record‑keeping software.
- Eagerness to learn and adapt to varied healthcare environments.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- This position is designed for new graduates; prior clinical experience may include internships or clinical rotations during nursing education.
- Employment is contingent upon passing the NCLEX within 6 months of the hire date.
- Participate in a formal orientation program, including designated hours for hands‑on training and simulation sessions.
- Deliver patient care under the supervision of experienced nurses while adhering to established protocols and procedures.
- Engage in simulation training to develop and refine clinical and decision‑making skills in a controlled environment.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary healthcare team to create and implement patient care plans.
- Monitor and record patients' vital signs and report any significant changes to the healthcare team.
- Educate patients and families on health conditions, post‑treatment care and preventive strategies.
- Assist with procedures and the management of medical equipment as required.
- Document patient care activities accurately and timely in electronic medical records.
- Reflect on practice and receive feedback from mentors and preceptors to enhance professional growth.
- Attend workshops, seminars and other educational opportunities to continue professional development.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with legal and ethical standards of nursing practice.
- Respond to patient requests and concerns with empathy, providing a high level of customer service.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care delivery.
- Develop leadership and teamwork skills while gaining exposure to different nursing roles and specialties.
- Performs additional duties as assigned.
