Job Description Summary
Heavy Equipment Sales Representative has the opportunity to sell and rent equipment and attachments in an assigned geographic territory. Anderson Equipment Company will support the sales representative with sales planning tools, a comprehensive training program with dedicated Branch Manager coaching, and an extensive fleet of construction, mining, paving, forestry equipment and attachments.
The Sales Representative must grow the territory to achieve annual sales revenue and market share targets by understanding customer needs, identifying sales opportunities, and developing customized equipment and financial solutions. The Sales Representative must reside in the territory to maximize community exposure to Anderson and to maintain ongoing relationships with customers and to resolve issues quickly by utilizing internal contacts with Service, Parts and Rental departments at the branch.
Responsibilities- Grow the assigned territory to achieve annual sales revenue and market share targets.
- Identify customer needs and sales opportunities; develop customized equipment and financial solutions.
- Utilize internal contacts with Service, Parts, and Rental departments to resolve customer issues quickly.
- Maintain ongoing relationships with customers and reside in the territory to maximize community exposure.
- Collaborate with Branch Managers to implement sales plans and training resources.
- Bachelor's or Associate’s degree with finance, marketing, or business concentration.
- Work experience in Heavy Equipment, Auto, or related industry.
- Proven track record of achieving sales, revenue targets, or financial goals.
- Excellent customer service and presentation skills with dependable follow-up and responsiveness.
- Strong problem-solving skills and financial creativity.
- Daily travel within the sales territory to customer job sites and meetings; valid driver’s license and ability to meet the company’s driver policy requirements.
- Compensation range depends on sales performance: $60,000-$150,000.
- Salary, commission, and bonuses based on achieving annual targets.
