Substance Screening & Customer Services Specialist
The Substance Screening & Customer Services Specialist supports the agency operations by greeting clients selected for substance screening, administering oral swab/urine tests, updating testing systems, and managing specimen tracking and shipping. The role provides safe transportation for children and adults to approved appointments and visits. Additional responsibilities include redacting electronic case information for Discovery, preparing and submitting Discovery requests, and assisting with scanning and organizing documents in the agency’s data management system.
The position also provides reception coverage as needed, retrieves LEADS results for the service teams, and participates in required training and staff meetings.
- 60% Greets office visitors/customers who have been randomly selected to receive an oral substance screen specimen. Administers oral swab testing for clients, utilizes and updates the randomization testing system for the service teams, tracks and ships all specimens.
- 20% Provides child and/or adult transportation for approved services (e.g., parenting time, medical appointments, counseling, other agency-supported functions) as assigned by agency supervisor or designee. Ensures children have age-appropriate necessities and safety during transport.
- 10% Performs redaction of electronic case information for Discovery. Completes Discovery requests and forwards to the Prosecutor according to schedule.
- 10% Provides reception coverage as needed due to illness, vacation, lunch or breaks. Meets and greets office visitors, utilizes SACWIS to look up necessary client information, directs visitors to waiting area, assists service teams with picking up LEADS results, and attends training and staff meetings as required.
- Twelve months experience as a Unit Support Worker 1, 30111, and a valid driver’s license.
- Formal education in arithmetic that includes addition and subtraction, and reading and speaking common English vocabulary (one course).
- At least six months experience in typing, keyboarding, or word processing, and a valid driver’s license.
- Additional experience in typing, keyboarding or word processing and working in an office environment handling in-person and/or telephone contacts with clients, customers, and/or the general public.
- Or education, training and/or experience in an amount equal to the Minimum.
