Description
POSITION DESCRIPTIONSubstance Use Disorder Therapists provide individual, family and group psychotherapy for adults and appropriate children with substance use disorders, provide psychoeducation, provides crisis intervention/emergency services as needed, performs clinical diagnostic and assessment functions specific to SUD treatment, and develops and implements initial and revised Individual Service Plan.
They complete all appropriate case documentation and case planning information, complete all necessary reports per agency policy and protocol, complete appropriate documentation of collateral contacts, and participates in clinical supervision. Other duties include linking client with CPST resources, Psychiatry/MAT services, monitoring client care and progress, and collaborating with other providers when appropriate.
Additionally, SUD Therapists attend required meetings, and provides other administrative functions as needed, while conforming to all relevant agency standards/regulations.

Requirements QUALIFICATIONSBachelor’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology or closely related field required, Master's degree preferred. Ohio clinical licensure (such as LSW, LISW, LPC, LPCC), and/or Ohio substance use licensure (LCDCIII or LICDC) is required. Position requires a working knowledge of the DSM-5-TR, family dynamics, and of various psychotherapy modalities and techniques. Position requires an ability to work effectively as part of an interdisciplinary agency team, to communicate and relate effectively with individuals of all ages and families, understanding the Recovery model and working in this model with families, and to be sensitive and attentive to the cultural needs of each client and family.
Position also requires good written communication skills, and strong organization skills.
