job summarythe hr assistant provides clerical and administrative support to the human resource department. The individual in this role may be involved in recruitment, payroll administration and any other area of human resources.
essential duties and responsibilities- provides support for the recruiting process (schedule interviews, send background checks, attend job fairs/recruitment events as needed, conduct drug tests and contact select candidates).
- coordinates the new hire orientation process (schedule the orientation, prepare orientation paperwork, and create the employee files), including i‑9 completion/compliance.
- maintains personnel files in compliance with applicable legal requirements.
- provides support on auditing, review and processing the paperwork and forms.
- participates in special projects and initiatives, including engagement, job fairs and hr assessments.
- must maintain confidentiality and perform all duties in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- supports company open enrollment period to ensure smooth processing.
- supports payroll processing.
- other duties as assigned.
- work overtime as dictated by business whether mandatory or voluntary.

skills & abilities education & experience- high school diploma or ged required.
- one year of human resources/payroll/clerical experience preferred.
- must be able to work in unregulated temperatures within the warehouse during the warmer and colder months, ranging from mild to moderate.
