Join our team to operate an emulsion acrylic adhesive coating machine to coat coils of paper, film, or foil with pressure sensitive adhesive. The role is hourly, 2nd Shift (4 pm – 2 am, Monday‑Thursday) with a $1.00 shift differential.

Shift
: 2nd Shift (4 pm – 2 am, Monday‑Thursday) + $1.00 shift differential
- Set up the coater for each operation.
- Place rolls of face paper and backing substrate on the shafts and position correctly on the machine.
- Turn control dials to regulate speed, drying oven temperature, and adhesive flow.
- Operate the coater at maximum speed for each product.
- Check pre-production samples for correct pattern materials, web dimensions, etc.
- Provide test samples to Quality Assurance as required.
- Check materials pre‑, in‑process, and post‑production using calipers and rulers.
- Halt production if the product is out of specification.
- Accurately pick raw material, return raw material, enter labor tracking, and complete rolls into the ERP system.
- Label rolls for shipment, inventory, or next process in line.
- Maintain accurate, neat machine reports.
- Report material problems to the Supervisor and Quality Assurance.
- Recommend and maintain process and equipment improvements.
- Resolve minor problems with equipment and process; report major problems to the Supervisor.
- Operate forklift and clamp truck.
- Work with little supervision.
- Responsible for startup and shutdown of the machine.
- Maintain a neat, orderly work area.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Required:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Mechanical aptitude and prior machine operator experience.
- Ability to perform arithmetic operations using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
- Written communication: writes clearly, presents data effectively, reads and interprets written information.
- Quality: demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness; applies feedback; monitors own work for quality.
- Quantity: meets productivity standards; completes work in a timely manner; strives to increase productivity.
- Safety and security: observes procedures; reports unsafe conditions; uses equipment properly.
- Attendance/Punctuality: consistently at work and on time.
- Preferred:
- Background in math/ mechanics.
Employee must regularly talk or hear, use hands or fingers, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls, stand, walk, sit, squat, kneel, reach with hands and arms; occasionally lift or move up to 100 lb. Reasonable accommodations can be made.
