Description:

The registered nurse assesses, plans, implements, evaluates, and supervises individual patient care using the nursing process.

Accepts responsibility for the direction of co-workers and the delegation of role-appropriate tasks in the implementation of care.

Performs all duties and responsibilities in accordance with established policies, procedures, and guidelines.

Demonstrates empathy by understanding others' perspectives and treating them with compassion.

Acts with integrity by taking responsibility for own actions and delivering on commitments.

Utilizes resources wisely and shows pride in the work by giving back to the community.

Demonstrates agility by taking initiative to find creative solutions and responding promptly to concerns.

Administers medications and performs treatments accurately and safely.

Implements physician orders as written and assures equipment and supplies are available for patient care.

The position requires heavy physical demand, including the ability to exert significant force to move objects.

Regulates emotions and exercises self-control in urgent situations.

Communicates empathically with patients and demonstrates genuine care and concern for their welfare.

Supervises and directs the work of nursing assistants in a professional manner.

May experience stress related to time management challenges and working with individuals in various states of distress.

Requires intact cognitive function in attention, memory, perception, and thought.

Prioritizes work tasks when multiple issues need attention and possesses keen observation and accurate reporting skills.

Strong organization, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills are needed.
