Equipment and Tools

• MACHINES AND EQUIPMENT:
  Shear spray and glazer lube machines, water-cooled tank cameras, wet screws, reverse osmosis machine, regulators, zero governors, frit cooler, bin indicator, mixers, port valves, cullet crusher, actuator valve, solenoid, compressors, shop vac, back-flow diverter, filters, combustion air feeder, surge hopper, opacitor, pumps, threading machine, blow torch, block and tackle, chain hoist, grinder, electric drill, electric eel, air dryers, and similar or equivalent equipment required to complete the job.
  
  Welding and cutting torches. Man Lifts
• GAUGES AND TOOLS:
  Vise, clamp, wrench, calibrator, computer, calculator, pipe cutter, tongs, and similar or equivalent large and small hand tools and equipment. Must have own tools as specified by supervisor.
• PRODUCTS OR MATERIALS:
  All types of pipe fittings, pipe line systems, plumbing supplies, air, high-pressure air, water, gas, steam, crack gas, oil, copper tubing, sealant, solder, solvent, and similar or equivalent products and materials.

General verbal and occasional written instructions. Operate from blueprints and drawings.

Perform work of satisfactory quality and quantity in accordance with plant operating procedures. Maintain overall quality awareness.

• Perform all general plumbing and pipe fitting work from written and/or verbal instructions or blueprints.
• Perform welding including MIG, TIG, and ARC welding.
• Work in areas involving heights, small work areas, confined space, use fall protection, respirator, gloves, face shield, and other PPE.
• Responsible for planning and layout of all plumbing works for each project.
• Responsible for fire suppression, wet and dry systems, fire pump, underground valve system, risers, dry valve setup.
• Install, repair, and maintain pipe lines, valves, fittings, and plumbing lines in the plant as required, including, but not limited to, sprinkler systems, water softener system, toilet facilities, heating/water/draining systems, closed-loop system, batch system.
• Compressor cooling water, H28 water and the respective pumping systems and cooling towers along with emergency back up systems for each, need to know the different types of water and corrosion inhibitors.
• Clean impulse lines.
• Determine tools, equipment, and materials required for each project.
• Complete forms and check offs for all responsible equipment, daily, weekly or as needed.
• Maintain quality housekeeping and good safety practices proper PPE for work in the work areas.
• Always follow proper Lock Out, Tag Out procedures.
• Do other work as required by supervision.
