The Commercial HVAC Install Lead is responsible for overseeing and executing the installation of commercial HVAC systems, ensuring projects are completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires coordinating with project managers, technicians, and clients to deliver seamless installation services that meet contractual specifications and regulatory requirements. The lead will manage installation teams, providing technical guidance and leadership to optimize workflow and resolve any on-site challenges.

A key outcome of this position is to maintain strong client relationships through professional communication and timely project delivery. Ultimately, the Commercial Install Lead plays a critical role in driving operational excellence and customer satisfaction within the commercial HVAC sector.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Proven experience in commercial HVAC installation and maintenance.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, components, and industry standards.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience managing installation teams in a commercial environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and installation manuals.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to various job sites as required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certification in HVAC technology or related field.
  • Experience with project management software and tools.
  • Familiarity with local building codes and safety regulations.
  • Previous experience in a supervisory or lead role within commercial HVAC projects.
  • Additional training or certification in safety management or OSHA standards.
Responsibilities
  • Lead and supervise commercial HVAC installation projects from initiation to completion, ensuring adherence to project timelines and budgets.
  • Coordinate daily activities of installation teams, assigning tasks and monitoring progress to maintain productivity and quality standards.
  • Conduct on-site inspections to verify compliance with safety regulations, technical specifications, and company policies.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to address technical issues and implement effective solutions.
  • Provide training, mentorship, and performance feedback to installation technicians to foster skill development and team cohesion.
Skills

The required skills in commercial installation and HVAC maintenance are applied daily to ensure that all systems are installed correctly and function efficiently, minimizing downtime and rework. Leadership qualities are essential for managing and motivating the installation team, resolving conflicts, and maintaining high morale under tight deadlines. The ability to interpret technical documentation allows the lead to guide the team accurately and troubleshoot issues proactively.

Preferred skills such as familiarity with project management software enhance the lead’s capability to plan, track, and report project progress effectively. Knowledge of safety regulations ensures that all work is performed in a secure environment, protecting both personnel and property.
