Adjunct Faculty - Reference and Instruction Librarian; On-Campus

Job Summary:

This face-to-face teaching opportunity is available at the York and Harrisburg Campuses.

This position works in cooperation with the library department, department chair, faculty, and staff to provide information literacy instruction, research services, and public service functions for the College. The schedule varies depending on the overall workload within the academic year, and will include some evening and weekend shifts.

Minimum Qualifications:

Master's in Library/Information Science from an ALA accredited institution.

Licensing Requirements:

Valid Driver's License

Hiring Range: determined by professional & educational background.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with group instruction or giving presentations.
• Experience or training in research and reference assistance.
• Professional or paraprofessional experience working in a library.
• Experience with instructional technologies and learning management systems.
• Experience in library instruction in an academic library.

Job Specific Task List:

• Teaches information literacy in a variety of modalities, which includes assessment, collaborating with faculty, creating lesson plans, and developing instruction materials - (Essential)
• Provides research assistance in-person and online.
