The Department of Systems Pharmacology and Translational Therapeutics at the Perelman School of Medicine at the Universityof Pennsylvania seeks candidates for a Research Associate position in the Academic Support Staff. This appointment will be initially for one (1) year and continuation during that time period and renewal are based on satisfactory performance and availability of funding (limited to three (3) years).
Expertise is required in the specific area of In vivo CRISPR targeting, Flow cytometry and General molecular cell biology techniques. Applicants must have a Ph.D. or equivalent degree in Biological Sciences.
- Responsibilities may include developing a vigorous research program focused on neuroimmunology and neurodevelopment projects.
- Interacting and training technicians and graduate students.
- Assisting with the submission of grant applications/contracts and funding of research projects.
- Will also participate in freediscussion, research progress, and overall morale.
The successful applicant will have an opportunity to primarilycarry out a research program in Dr. Yeong Shin Yim's lab. The position will allow the candidate to grow as an independentscientist and gain eligibility to apply for funding throughdifferent mechanisms. Also, successful candidates will benefit fromthe thriving and collegial Penn research community and tailoredcareer development guidance.
Qualifications- Applicants must have a Ph.D. or equivalent degree in Biological Sciences.
