Clinical Psychologist – One-Time, Non-Treatment Veteran Disability Exam

Location: Lancaster, TX

Employment Status: Full Time

Compensation: Salaried position, paid bi-weekly.

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 4:00pm.

• Review pertinent mental health history documentation and provide one-time, non-treatment behavioral health compensation and pensions exams for Veterans.
• Capture responses during the exam through web‑based examination form(s); all documentation completed electronically and sent to the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs for disability award determinations.
• Common reasons for assessment: PTSD, depression, anxiety, and eating disorders.

• Conduct a one-time, non-treatment Veteran Disability Exam.
• Review mental health history documentation.
• Complete electronically all exam responses and documentation.
• Submit completed exams to U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs for disability award determinations.

• Licensed psychologist, psychiatrist, or neurologist in at least one U.S. state.
• Psychiatrists or neurologists must be board‑certified or have completed a 2‑year residency with either specialty.
• Psychologists must hold a PhD or PsyD with a major in Psychology; specialty studies must focus on the adult population such as Clinical, Counseling, or School Psychology (child‑focused programs not acceptable).
• Psychologists must have graduated from an APA‑accredited doctorate or post‑doctoral program.
• Active and valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Demonstrated compassion, professionalism, and commitment to excellent service and care.
• Proficiency with computers, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and EMR platforms.
• Skilled in professional communication, critical thinking, and informed‑care decision‑making.
• Independent work style with effective time management to meet deadlines.

• Prior experience in clinical settings.
• Prior VA or C&P experience.
