The Inventory Control Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the inventory control team through reporting, audits, coaching, and inventory optimization. This position collaborates closely with Operations leadership to meet inventory goals and addresses inventory escalations with cross‑functional teams, including Procurement, Customer Experience, and vendors as needed.
Job Responsibilities- Oversight of inventory control daily operations, including inventory management, researching and resolving inventory issue inquiries, and processing adjustments as needed.
- Reviews and processes financial adjustments to inventory as needed.
- Develops and maintains slotting and capacity optimization.
- Conducts routine audits on cycle counters & inventory to ensure standard operating procedures are followed.
- Reviews and actions inventory reporting including Dock/Trailer Report Review and MY529 NWXD Exception Report.
- Manages outside storage process.
- Performs non‑warehouse cross‑dock research.
- Coaches and trains associates on inventory processes, including managing talent and performance.
- Partners with local Operations leadership to meet inventory and service level goals.
- Performs other relevant job duties as required.
- Possibility of being licensed to operate powered industrial equipment.
- 3–5 years of relevant inventory control experience or equivalent experience required.
- 3–5 years of warehouse experience required.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations including slotting systems.
- Proficiency with reporting methods related to tracking inventory.
- Strong analytical, interpretive, and financial reporting skills.
- Strong communication skills, both written and oral, and emphasis on applications.
- Strong interpersonal skills; must be motivated and take initiative.
- Ability to effectively deal with a wide variety of people in person and over the telephone.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
- Ability to be detail‑oriented and manage multiple tasks.
