Position Summary

The Quality Supervisor is a visible leadership and development role. This individual supports the quality programs in the warehouse and reports to the site General Manager. The role supports local continuous improvement activities, document controls, and ISO activities while consistently meeting client and company expectations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Maintain compliance with international, industry, and customer‑specific quality standards.
  • Lead and perform analysis of product/service issues to determine root causes.
  • Manage and communicate change control processes to all departments.
  • Coordinate internal and external auditing and maintain the internal quality audit system.
  • Assist in implementation and monitoring of company quality systems, including ISO 9001:2008.
  • Assist in establishing, implementing, and evaluating quality management system metrics.
  • Provide guidance and support for customer service and quality departments, assisting with problem solving and improvement opportunities.
  • Manage customer‑driven continuous improvement roadmaps.
  • Drive continuous improvement programs at all levels, including education of these programs.
  • Develop and conduct training on the quality system and other related topics.
  • Oversee document control, updating, creating, and publishing controlled documents and sending change notifications to affected parties/departments.
  • Develop and implement administrative systems for record management, traceability, and trend reporting.
Budgeting
  • Identify cost improvement initiatives that generate positive results for the assigned operation EBIT.
  • Develop and manage a system of controls to ensure service levels and operational performance goals are met within prescribed cost, revenue, and profit parameters for the operation.
Customer Service
  • Monitor KPIs for the assigned operation.

Supervisory Responsibilities
  • Communicate all problems and questions to site leadership and implement solutions to minimize risk.
  • Follow all safety procedures.
  • Responsible for all equipment, supplies, documents, and materials related to the job.
  • Responsible for following all DSV policies and procedures.
  • Comply with all federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Communicate with all levels of staff and the public as appropriate to the job.
Skills & Abilities Education & Experience
  • Must have a high school diploma.
  • 3 years’ experience working in a logistics/distribution/relevant environment.
  • Prior experience in safety observations/inspections, developing and implementing compliance strategies and plans.
  • Knowledge of safety and health management systems and practices.
  • Preferred:
    Prior MHE certification / knowledge of basic MHE operation.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations or Professional Designations
  • Satisfactory completion of a forklift training program.
Computer Skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Power Point).
  • RF Scanners.
  • WMS functions.
Language Skills
  • English (reading, writing, verbal).
  • Business communication.
Mathematical Skills
  • Basic to intermediate level to verify quantities of product, count inventory, or perform other duties associated with handling, storing and distributing client products.
Other Skills
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy and accomplish job tasks in a timely manner.
  • Good organizational and personnel skills.
  • Good communication skills, written and oral.
  • Good leadership, supervision, and planning skills.
  • Able to work flexible schedules, including nights and weekends, as required by the operation.
  • Participate in established cross training metrics activities with the opportunity to improve knowledge in multiple areas/departments and be able to assist as a backup when needed.
  • Must be able to effectively adapt to change and thrive in a fast‑paced work environment.
Minimum

Required Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of supervisor experience in supply chain/logistics/warehousing.
  • Able to pass TSA Security Treat Assessment (STA).
  • Able to pass Transportation Security Training Requirements and recertify annually.
