PT Senior Lifeguard; Year-Round

Summary

Responsible for the maintenance of order within aquatic facility by enforcing all rules and regulations; performing rescue operations, resuscitating swimmers, and administering First‑Aid to injured patrons.

• Facilitates pool parties, swim meets, swim lessons, and swim team programs.
• Implements aquatic programs to include but not limited to swim lessons, swim team and aquatic fitness.
• Enforces all pool rules in a consistent manner.
• Responds quickly, intelligently, decisively, and in accordance with established emergency and accident management practices.
• Maintains cleanliness of pool deck and locker rooms.
• Facilitates public relations with a positive and professional attitude, courtesy, and tact.
• Administers first aid and CPR as required.
• Maintains inventory of supplies, equipment, records, and weekly reporting requirements.
• Completes appropriate reports.
• Monitors and records chemical levels.
• Attends and participates in all in‑service trainings.
• Assists with leading weekly in‑service.
• Provides assistance in coordinating recreation and/or other special events hosted by the city.
• Carries out additional duties as assigned.

Must possess current American Red Cross lifeguard certification
