• Circa £48,000 - £55,000 DOE

Clark Wood are working with a well‑established and forward‑thinking independent firm in Lancaster who are seeking an experienced Private Client Tax Assistant Manager or Manager to join their growing team.

This is a key role within a reputable practice known for delivering high‑quality tax and advisory services to a varied and loyal client base. Responsibilities
  • Oversee day‑to‑day running of the personal tax department while managing your own portfolio of clients, ranging from high‑net‑worth individuals through to entrepreneurs and professionals.
  • Review the team’s work, ensuring accuracy and compliance, and provide clear guidance and mentoring to junior colleagues as they progress in their development.
  • Prepare and review a broad range of personal tax returns, advising clients on matters including capital gains tax, inheritance tax, residence and domicile.
  • Identify opportunities for tax planning and advisory work.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, offering proactive and practical advice while ensuring all deadlines and compliance requirements are met.
Qualifications
  • ATT qualified as a minimum, with CTA or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Solid background in personal tax.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to organise and prioritise effectively.
