SEN Teaching Assistant – Lancaster (LA1/LA2)

Teaching Personnel is working closely with small, welcoming, ‘GOOD’ rated primary schools across the Lancaster (LA1 & LA2) area who are seeking dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to join their supportive teams from 23rd February 2026.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work closely with pupils with a range of needs including Autism, ADHD, behavioural challenges, communication difficulties, and children with EHCPs. The right person will be patient, proactive, and committed to helping every child reach their full potential.

Your Role

Provide 1:1 and small‑group support to pupils with SEN
Assist with the delivery and implementation of EHCPs & IEPs
Adapt learning materials to suit individual needs
Use tools such as PECS to support communication where needed
Support behaviour strategies and create a calm, nurturing environment
Work collaboratively with teachers and the wider SEN team

What We’re Looking For

Experience supporting children with Autism, ADHD, and other SEN
Confidence working with EHCPs and/or IEPs
Ability to tailor your approach to meet diverse needs
A compassionate, patient, and dependable nature
Based in Lancaster (LA1/LA2) or able to commute
Relevant qualifications are beneficial but not essential
