Teaching Assistant

Tradewind Recruitment are currently recruiting for a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Bury. This full-time Teaching Assistant role is available for an ASAP or September start and offers the opportunity to become part of a supportive school community committed to helping pupils thrive both academically and socially.

The successful candidate will work closely with class teachers to support learning across Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2, helping pupils to stay engaged, confident, and motivated throughout the school day. You may be supporting pupils on a one-to-one basis, working with small intervention groups, or assisting the wider classroom to ensure all children receive the guidance and encouragement they need.

This role would suit an experienced Teaching Assistant or someone looking to build a career within education. The school is looking for a positive, patient, and proactive individual who can build strong relationships with pupils, staff, and parents. A calm and flexible approach is essential, along with a genuine passion for supporting children's development.

• Supporting teaching and learning across the classroom
• Delivering targeted interventions and small group support
• Encouraging positive behaviour and pupil engagement
• Assisting with classroom preparation and resources
• Supporting children with additional needs where required
• Working collaboratively with teachers and support staff

• Have previous experience working with children in a school, childcare, or youth setting
• Possess excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Be enthusiastic, reliable, and adaptable
• Hold an enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one
• Be able to provide satisfactory references
