Vision for Education are working in partnership with a welcoming and supportive mainstream secondary school in Lancaster, Lancashire to appoint a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant
. This SEND Teaching Assistant role in Lancaster is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about supporting young people with additional needs and helping them achieve their full potential.

The successful candidate will work closely with the school's SEND team, teaching staff and wider pastoral team to provide targeted support to pupils with a range of additional needs.

The successful SEND Teaching Assistant in Lancaster will provide support to pupils across the secondary school, helping them to access the curriculum, develop their confidence and independence, and overcome barriers to learning.

You will work closely with the school's SEND team and class teachers to implement individualised support strategies and ensure pupils receive the appropriate support both academically and socially.

The role may involve supporting pupils on a 1:1 or small-group basis
, depending on their individual needs. Experience supporting pupils with SEND, including Autism, ADHD, SEMH or other additional needs, would be highly desirable.
