Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Mon - Fri

Location: Mobile across Liverpool and Lancashire

What you’ll be doing :
  • Compliance with all Health and Safety policies and procedures.
  • Compliance with all Veolia policies and procedures.
  • Be fully aware of all VCHP safety rules.
  • Have a full driving licence to visit customer sites for business purposes to carry out CHP servicing and breakdown response, as may be required, using company vehicles.
  • Be conversant with the requirements of engine manufacturers servicing schedules.
  • Be skilled in the use of electrical drawings and OEM software packages.
  • Assist Customer Account Manager and Team Leaders on all aspects of CHP maintenance and in depth fault finding as requested.
  • Undertake any other duties associated with CHP plant and general areas as directed by the Customer Account Manager.
  • To provide 'hands on' advanced Electrical training to Service Engineers when required
  • To support operational regions with in depth fault finding as and when directed by the Operations Manager
  • To provide technical assistance with internal/external failure reports and contribute to 'Lessons Learnt'.
  • To carry out and support diagnostics through remote desktop software
  • Specify critical and spare parts to be held within the region to support first fix.
  • Contribution to technical workshops and workflow sessions to drive continuous improvement
What we’re looking for:
  • Have qualifications and/or experience on engine maintenance and the ability and desire to be trained by an engine manufacturer if required
  • Have sound knowledge in engineering practices and be conversant with the operation of a CHP plant
  • Gas Safe Accredited
  • Undertake weekend roster duties as required by management.
  • HNC or Equivalent in an Electrical Engineering Discipline
  • In depth knowledge of CHP control systems and PLC's and to be fully conversant with Fuel mapping procedures on MTU, MAN and 2g units.
