We're looking for a qualified accountant with a proactive mindset, strong stakeholder focus and the confidence to become a visible and trusted finance partner across the station. This is a site-based role, with an expectation of working on site 3 to 4 days per week, working closely with colleagues across finance and operational teams.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Developing and distributing monthly financial reports to budget holders to track financial progress and performance on a weekly and monthly basis
  • Providing supporting information for quarterly audit requirements, including accrual substantiations, tax packs, and internal controls assessments
  • Completing monthly stock certificates and providing independent assurance that stock values are accurately recorded, through governance checks and spot reviews
  • Identifying and communicating emerging risks, opportunities and performance trends, recommending mitigation actions to optimise business outcomes
  • Monitoring project and portfolio performance through planning, timely reporting, analysis, forecasting, variance commentary and management insight to support informed decision-making
Who You Are

We're looking for a qualified Management Accountant who thrives on building relationships, delivering insight and influencing business decisions. You'll be adaptable, proactive and comfortable operating within a highly regulated environment while providing constructive challenge and support. Do you offer...?

  • A recognised professional accountancy qualification such as ICAEW, ICAS, CIMA, or ACCA
  • Experience working within a highly regulated environment
  • Strong stakeholder management and business partnering skills
  • High levels of numeracy and analytical capability, including effective use of financial and IT tools
  • Proven ability to build and maintain effective working relationships across multiple functions
  • To be appointed to this role, you will need to meet the criteria for Security Vetting, which will, ordinarily, require you to have been a resident of the UK for at least three of the past five years.
Pay, Benefits and Culture

We are offering a starting salary of between £47,513 and £71,786, with terms and conditions covered by the EDF Nuclear Generation Company Agreement. The starting salary for the appointment will be dependent on your existing salary, competence, experience and qualifications.
