Job SummaryThe Staff Technologist provides patient services using imaging modalities, performs diagnostic procedures. Applies principles of radiation protection and the ALARA principle, exercises professional judgment in the performance of procedures, provides patient care essential to imaging procedures, recognizes patient conditions requiring immediate action and initiates life support measures, establishes and maintains a good rapport and professional relationship with fellow employees, other departments and Medical Staff.
Performs imaging services “on call” as needed.

Performs imaging services “on call” as needed.
This is a PRN as‑needed position, you must be available to work at least 12 hours bi‑weekly, as needed according to departmental demands. You may be required to work additional hours if requested by your supervisor to accomplish work objectives. Work hours may vary (increase or decrease) depending on the needs of the unit.
EducationGraduation from an accredited school of radiologic technology
ExperienceCompetency in components of Imaging practice as appropriate
Licenses/CertificatesRegistered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or eligible. Licensure from the South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association is required (SCRQSA). Advanced ARRT preferred. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) with the American Heart Association (AHA) required.
