Join Our Team at Lancaster Children and Family Wellbeing Service (CFW)

We have an exciting opportunity to join us as a Delivery Centre Support Worker in our Lancaster district.

As part of our team, you’ll play a vital role in creating a welcoming environment for some of Lancashire’s most amazing children, young people, and their families. We work with children and young people aged 0–19, and up to 25 for those with special educational needs and disabilities.

We’re looking for friendly, enthusiastic individuals who love helping others. As a Delivery Centre Support Worker, you’ll be the first point of contact for families visiting our Family Hubs and centres, as well as for partner agencies who work alongside us.

Your Role Will Include
  • Greeting families and making them feel at home
  • Handling calls and enquiries
  • Managing room bookings and group work referrals
  • Helping keep our centres warm, welcoming, and well-maintained
  • Supporting the team with setting up spaces for meetings, courses, and groups

You’ll need good IT skills and confidence using systems like Microsoft Office and our Early Help Management Information system.

In return, you’ll receive a comprehensive induction and training package, plus ongoing development opportunities to help you grow and progress in your career.

As part of the wider Children and Family Wellbeing Service, you’ll be helping families get the right support, in the right place, at the right time.

If you’re passionate about supporting children, young people, and families in Lancashire, we’d love to hear from you! Please check out the job role and person specification attached, and find out more about our service.

The post you are applying for is covered by the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (as amended in 2013). If successful you will be required to apply to the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) for a ‘disclosure’. Further information can be found on the ‘Our Recruitment Process’ tab.

Please ensure you have uploaded and attached your supporting statement to evidence how you meet the criteria for the role. The panel may be unable to shortlist you for interview without this evidence.

In return Lancashire County Council offers a range of benefits, which can be found on LCC Vacancies website.

We reserve the right to close down a vacancy early, before the closing date, if we receive sufficient applications.
