We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to provide a high quality of care to patients on our Children's Ward.

Our services:

• Children's Inpatient, Day Care, Assessment and Outpatients

Our Children's Inpatient services provide compassionate care for Children and Young People from 0 to 16 years of age across two busy sites, Royal Lancaster Infirmary and Furness General Hospital. The units provide care for a mixture of specialties and for a wide range of conditions including High Dependency Care.

We are a University teaching hospital full of hard working and dedicated staff providing community and hospital services across the Morecambe Bay area.

• Work in support of and under the direction of a Registered Children's Nurse, providing basic care and assistance within defined parameters specified by the registered nurse.
• Maintain cleanliness of the ward environment, in line with infection prevention and control standards.
• Be aware of the structure and organisation of the NHS.

We operate from three main hospitals - Furness General Hospital (FGH) in Barrow, the Royal Lancaster Infirmary (RLI), and Westmorland General Hospital (WGH) in Kendal, as well as a number of community healthcare premises.

• Relevant NVQ qualification or commitment to undertake

• Experience of working in a health related environment
• Experience working with children
