Make a Meaningful Difference Every Day – Join Langley as a Relief Support Worker Langley is pleased to offer an opportunity for compassionate and motivated Relief Support Workers to join our friendly, dedicated team in Lancaster . This flexible relief role allows you to work with the Manager to arrange shifts that suit your availability. We are looking out for staff for both night and day shifts.

The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary of £12.75 per hour , reflecting the value and positive impact of this important work. About the Role Provide tailored support and key working to clients, including those managed under MAPPA arrangements, helping them achieve positive outcomes and progress towards greater independence. Take an active role in safeguarding, risk assessment, and risk management, ensuring a safe environment for clients, colleagues, and the wider community.

Build positive, pro-social relationships with clients, encouraging engagement, participation, and involvement in all aspects of service life. Support clients to comply with support plans, occupancy agreements, statutory requirements, and house rules, using a compassionate but firm approach to challenge inappropriate behaviour when necessary. Work collaboratively with colleagues and external agencies to deliver high-quality support, manage referrals, oversee medication safely, and contribute to a positive, well-run service.

About You A compassionate, person-centred approach and a genuine commitment to empowering clients. Strong communication skills, with the ability to build professional, respectful relationships. Calm and resilient under pressure, able to de-escalate situations and respond appropriately to risk. A professional, non-judgemental attitude, always maintaining boundaries and confidentiality. Willingness to complete additional training as required by the needs of the service.
