The Facilities Management Team at Lancashire County Council is recruiting a Casual Cleaning Operative to perform cleaning duties at Lancaster & Morecambe Short Breaks Service. A flexible approach is required, as the successful candidate may need to cover sickness, holidays, or provide support for additional service demands. Providing your own transport is an advantage, but not essential.

The Facilities Management team is responsible for some of the most prestigious and iconic buildings in Lancashire. These buildings provide essential services to the community and vulnerable people.

High standards of cleanliness are expected; prior experience is desirable but full training and ongoing support will be provided.

• Damp wiping
• Damp mopping
• Vacuuming
• Toilet cleaning

This position is part-time; the quoted salary is full-time equivalent and will be paid pro‑rata. Therefore the hourly rate is £13.45.

In return, Lancashire County Council offers the Foundation Living Wage for this post, independently calculated each year based on employee needs.

This role is covered by the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (as amended in 2013). Successful applicants will need to apply to the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) for a "disclosure".
