Overview

We are recruiting for an experienced and dedicated Nursing Home Manager to lead a well-established nursing home in the Lancaster area. This is a confidential appointment for a high-quality service that prides itself on delivering outstanding, person-centred care within a supportive and well-resourced environment.

This is an excellent opportunity for a strong clinical leader who is passionate about driving standards, maintaining compliance, and leading from the front.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide overall leadership and day-to-day operational management of the nursing home
  • Ensure full regulatory compliance and maintain high standards of care and governance
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a multidisciplinary team including clinical and care staff
  • Manage budgets effectively and ensure financial performance targets are achieved
  • Oversee clinical governance, safeguarding, medication management, and risk management
  • Maintain excellent relationships with residents, families, professionals, and external stakeholders
  • Drive occupancy levels and promote the service within the local community
  • Ensure person-centred care is delivered in line with best practice and regulatory standards
Essential Requirements
  • Valid NMC Nursing Pin (RGN/RMN) - active and in good standing
  • NVQ Level 5 in Leadership & Management (or equivalent)
  • Proven experience managing a nursing or residential care home
  • Strong understanding of CQC regulations and compliance frameworks
  • Demonstrable experience in leading and developing high-performing teams
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills
  • Strong financial acumen and budget management experience
