We are recruiting enthusiastic, highly motivated community midwives/birth centre midwives to join our dedicated, forward‑thinking professional team which serves a wide rural and urban area.

Main Duties of the Job
  • Work autonomously within a community setting as part of a multi‑disciplinary team.
  • Maintain positive relationships with team members to ensure safe, women‑centred maternity care.
  • Provide high‑quality, women‑centred maternity care with effective leadership.
  • Optimise teaching opportunities and support all grades of staff.
  • Deliver appropriate education and advice to women and families throughout pregnancy.
  • Ensure appropriate referrals to specialist services and other agencies where needed.

Person Specification Education and Qualifications
  • Registered Midwife.
  • Evidence of ongoing professional development.
  • Current driving licence.
  • First‑level degree in a relevant field.
Experience
  • Clinical competence to work autonomously within a multi‑disciplinary team.
  • Ability to make appropriate clinical decisions and prioritise care needs.
Skills, Ability and Knowledge
  • Committed to CPD for self and others.
  • Knowledge of research methodology.
  • Understanding of the role of Research and Development.
