Job Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate support and guidance to residents in a supported housing environment, ensuring their safety and wellbeing.
- Monitor and review each resident's progress, developing personalised support plans to facilitate their journey towards independent living.
- Assist residents in accessing move-on accommodation and other community resources when they are ready to transition.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of resident interactions, progress, and support plans in accordance with organisational policies.
- Ensure the safety and security of the accommodation units, including adherence to health and safety regulations.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, external agencies, and stakeholders to deliver holistic support services.
- Respond effectively to emergencies and provide 24-hour cover as part of a committed team.
- Promote a positive, respectful environment that encourages resident engagement and independence.
Skills & Qualifications
- Previous experience working within supported housing, social care, or related fields is desirable.
- Relevant qualifications such as Level 3 Diploma in Housing, Social Care, or equivalent are preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and support diverse individuals.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility and resilience.
- Knowledge of safeguarding procedures, health and safety regulations, and confidentiality requirements.
- Competence in record-keeping and report writing using standard IT systems.
- Empathy, patience, and a non-judgmental attitude towards residents' circumstances.
- Ability to respond effectively in emergency situations and work flexible hours, including overnight shifts if required.
