Architectural Technician

• Analyze tenants’ needs and validate technical feasibility
• Produce and review complete construction drawings in AutoCAD
• Participate in the bidding process, including analyzing bids, preparing estimates, and negotiating costs
• Be present on site
• Issue site instructions
• Coordinate professionals through to project delivery
• Contribute to commercial fit-out, building construction, and building envelope rehabilitation projects
• Handle technical coordination, estimating, and site supervision
• Collaborate with the team and the department director to ensure project success

• Required education:
  Diploma of College Studies (DEC) in Architecture
• Practical experience in the architecture field in Canada
• Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD
• Excellent understanding of buildings and building envelopes
• Ability to coordinate multiple disciplines
• Comfortable contributing to estimates, reviewing bids, and monitoring construction sites
• Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle
• Occasional travel to construction sites, including locations as far as the Bas-Saint-Laurent region
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and solutions-focused

Demonstrates expertise in AutoCAD for producing and reviewing construction drawings, along with strong capabilities in project coordination, estimating, and site supervision. Possesses a solid understanding of building envelopes and the ability to analyze bids and negotiate costs effectively.
