Job Description & How to Apply Below

Overview

As a Senior Data Scientist, you will tackle high-impact business problems by turning complex, large-scale data into scalable analytics and AI solutions. You will design, build, and deploy models spanning machine learning, optimization/simulation, and generative and agentic AI, working closely with product, engineering, and business partners to deliver measurable outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Frame ambiguous business questions into well-defined analytics/AI problems (hypotheses, success metrics, and evaluation approach).
  • Perform exploratory analysis, feature engineering, and model development on large, complex datasets to uncover non-obvious insights.
  • Design and implement advanced algorithms across machine learning (e.g., tree models, deep learning, reinforcement learning) and Operations Research (optimization, simulation).
  • Apply Generative and Agentic AI techniques where they create value (e.g., copilots, intelligent workflows, decision-support systems).
  • Partner with Data/AI Engineering to product ionize and deploy solutions in cloud environments with strong software engineering practices.
  • Own solutions end-to-end: problem definition, modeling, validation, deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement.
  • Communicate complex results clearly and influence decisions by translating technical work into business impact and trade-offs.
  • Contribute to a global community of data scientists and engineers – sharing learnings, raising the bar on standards, and mentoring others.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in Data Science or related field, with proven record of business impact. Doctoral level research involving the use or development of AI/ML techniques may be considered in lieu of professional experience.
  • Strong programming skills in Python and SQL; comfort working with modern data/compute stacks (e.g., Spark).
  • Strong foundations in machine learning, statistics, and experimental thinking.
  • Knowledge of Operations Research methods (optimization and/or simulation) is a strong advantage.
  • Familiarity with software engineering best practices (Git, testing, CI/CD) and working in Dev Ops-style environments.
  • Experience with large datasets and cloud computing platforms such as GCP or Azure, building solutions that can scale to production.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, curiosity, and ability to navigate ambiguity.
  • Collaborative mindset: able to partner across disciplines (engineering, product, business) and independently drive topics end-to-end.
  • Clear communicator who can explain complex technical solutions to non-technical audiences and drive alignment and action.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence others to take action; ability to translate complex topics into concepts that non-technical people can understand and buy into.
Benefits
  • Competitive salary over 13 months with annual compensation review.
  • Yearly bonus based on business unit and company performance.
  • Contribution to medical insurance.
  • P&G stock purchase program with Company match.
  • Attractive Company pension plan (2nd pillar) including life and disability insurance.
  • Annual Flex Fund of 3,000 CHF gross to support your wellbeing across a large menu of choices.
  • Holidays: 25 days per year with option to purchase up to 2 additional weeks per year.
