Professional Development Instructor

Wyoming Life Resource Center in Lander is seeking a motivated instructor to assist in the design and delivery of training for new and current employees. This role focuses on improving technical skills and professional knowledge.

• Deliver training classes to employees through a variety of media solutions.
• Manage, teach, and interact with employees in a classroom setting.
• Model and perform physical instruction.
• Review employee training results and identify programs and tools to reinforce and measure learning effectiveness.
• Create and implement learning objectives and develop testing processes in both practical and written form.
• Participate in planning and development of curriculum and preparation of student and instructional materials, exploring technology and other delivery methods.
• Review and evaluate various commercial training resources for suitability.
• Prepare and explain course lessons, plans, and updates, revising existing lesson plans as needed.
• Work alongside trainees and existing employees in their work areas to monitor training effectiveness and determine follow-up training needs.
• Work one shift a month in residential units to maintain relationships with employees on campus.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Preference: at least two years of teaching/instructional experience with a degree; health care professional with a behavioral health background is a plus.
• Education & Experience Substitution: 3-5 years of progressive work experience (typically in Education or Instruction) with acquired knowledge at the level of an Instructor I.
• OR
• Bachelor's Degree (typically in Education).
• 1-2 years of progressive work experience (typically in Education or Instruction) with acquired knowledge at the level of an Instructor I.
