• Supervises laboratory personnel in performing routine and specialized testing procedures.
• Develops and implements quality control programs to ensure the accuracy and reliability of laboratory results.
• Assists with staffing, scheduling, and training laboratory personnel.
• Ensures compliance with state and federal regulations, including CLIA, CAP, and TJC standards.
• Monitors laboratory equipment and coordinates maintenance and calibration.
• Assists in budgeting, purchasing of laboratory supplies, and inventory management.
• Reviews test results to ensure accuracy and adherence to quality control protocols.
• Provides technical guidance and resolves testing-related issues.
• Assists with proficiency testing and ensures corrective actions are implemented when needed.

• Proficient in the use of laboratory equipment and related software.

• Education
  :
  Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology, Chemistry, Biology, or related field required.
• Licenses/Certifications
  :
  Certification as a Medical Technologist (MT) or Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) by a nationally recognized agency preferred;
  State license as required;
  Current BLS certification;
  Certification as MT or MLS preferred.
• Experience
  :
  Minimum of 3 years of clinical laboratory experience with supervisory or leadership responsibilities in a high complexity testing environment.
