Travel or Local Allied Healthcare Professional needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

CT Technologist - CT Tech

Job Details:

• Perform diagnostic CT exams utilizing appropriate imaging equipment under general supervision

• Verify patient identity and review medical records for appropriateness of exams or procedures

• Interview patients to obtain, verify, or update medical history and assess risk factors

• Explain procedures to patients including side effects, risks, benefits, alternatives, and follow-up

• Set up equipment and acquire appropriate images as per script

• Review images, make initial observations, and document exceptions from established protocols

• Communicate imaging data to radiologist

• Recognize and respond to medical emergencies as appropriate

• Provide physician-prescribed post care instructions to patients

• Participate in process improvement activities including quality of care and patient satisfaction

• Provide imaging education to residents, student technologists, and new employees

• Take call/standby as required by the department

• May perform duties of a Radiologic Technologist as needed

• Must have ARRT certification in CT Tech and Radiology

• Must have BLS certification through American Heart Association

• Requires 2 years recent CT and Radiology experience

• Must be able to work independently

• Must be familiar with GE CT and X-ray machines
