RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Provide direct and individualized nursing care to medical surgery patients based on scientific nursing principles

• Consult and coordinate with healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care plans

• Prepare and administer medications orally, subcutaneously, and through IV, and record prescribed medications

• Report adverse reactions to medications or treatments according to facility policy

• Educate patients on surgical procedures and post-treatment home care needs

• Record patients' medical information and vital signs accurately and timely

• Monitor and adjust specialized equipment used on patients and interpret electronic displays

• Provide bedside care for medical patients including pre- and post-surgery patients

• Change dressings, insert catheters, and start IVs as needed

• Prepare equipment and assist physicians during patient examinations and treatments

• Respond to life-saving situations based on nursing standards and protocol

• Participate in discharge planning and patient education initiatives

• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, and PALS (must be through American Heart Association)

• Wyoming RN license or multi-state RN license required

• Must complete specific facility submission template and cover sheet requirements
