Overview
Plan and implement patient care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, and clinical treatments. Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care while monitoring and communicating patient condition to the care team, physician, patient, and family. Assist patients with activities of daily living, personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation. Collaborate across disciplines to coordinate care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral, and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
Provide patient and family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances. Advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of patients.
- Circulate during C/Sections and attend deliveries, assisting the physician as needed.
- Follow policies during recovery and care of surgical patients.
- Attend the neonatal station in the C/Section suite and assess the neonate post‑delivery.
- Complete fetal monitoring certification classes every two years.
- Attend STABLE certification class if offered and be NRP certified.
- Identify and communicate necessary information to physicians and patients.
- Must have ACLS, BLS, NRP, STABLE, and AWHONN certifications (attach to submission).
- Must hold a WY RN or RN compact license (attach to resume).
- Must have 2 years recent RN Level 1 Nursery, Postpartum, OB/GYN, and L&D/LDRP experience.
- Experience may include post‑op hysterectomy, antepartum care, triage care, labor and delivery care, and postpartum.
- Candidate may be required to float to another unit depending on facility census (helping hands or sitter).
- Sage West cover sheet must be attached to the submission.
