Job Description - RN Women's Health Unit )
ResponsibilitiesThe OB/L&D Department RN provides professional nursing care to the patients admitted in the Obstetric, Gynecology and Nursery Units. They assess and document various clinical conditions and vital signs of the patient. The RN's administer prescribed medication and record changes of the patient. The OB/L&D nurses maintain skills and knowledge in various medical devices including, but not limited to, electronic fetal monitoring, hearing screen machines, radiant warmers, epidural pumps, transport isolettes, neopuffs, and birthing beds.
They assist physicians in various procedures related to delivery, postpartum, cesarean sections, circumcisions and newborn care. The RN's educate patients and families regarding breast feeding, newborn care, cesarean care, post partum care, and post surgical care.
- Current RN License in the State of Wyoming
- Current BLS certification through American Heart Association
- NRP within 6 months of hire
- AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring within 6 months of hire
- STABLE current or within one year of hire
