Shift Type: Open to Day, Night, Weekend, and Rotating shifts
Important Note: This is NOT a Graphic Design role. Candidates must have at least 1 year of water-based ink mixing/color matching experience.

The Ink Technician is responsible for producing high-quality blended inks that meet customer color, formula, and performance specifications. This in-plant, hands-on role supports the customer's manufacturing operation by ensuring accurate color matching, fast ink delivery, and consistent ink quality. The technician prepares, blends, tones, documents, and adjusts inks to meet production demands while maintaining safety, organization, and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities- Weigh, blend, adjust, and deliver press-ready inks to customer press operations.
- Perform accurate color matching and ink formulation based on production requirements.
- Record and maintain documentation related to color matches, adjustments, inventory tracking, material returns, and complaints.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace.
- Follow PPE and safety guidelines at all times.
- Participate in recycling and return-ink evaluation.
- Support continuous improvement and workflow efficiencies.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.
- Validate ink quality prior to production delivery.
- Select appropriate raw materials for color matching and formulation.
- Evaluate ink suitability for recycling and reuse.
- Minimum 1+ years hands-on ink experience (MUST be visible on resume).
- Experience with water-based inks
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong math, measurement, and documentation skills.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and stand for long periods.
- Ability to work 12-hour rotating shifts.
- Press toning experience
- Flexographic printing exposure
- Color formulation experience
- Ink blending, toning, and adjusting
- Flexo printing process knowledge
- Quality control + color accuracy
- Problem-solving and troubleshooting
- Documentation + organization skills
- Mechanical aptitude + production workflow understanding
- Work 12-hour rotating shifts
- Prioritize tasks independently after training
