Construction Helper

Responsibilities

• Helping tradespersons in day-to-day construction activities by setting work site tools, organizing ladders, setting up scaffoldings & platforms, etc.
• Setting up construction barriers, sorting out site materials.
• Delivering materials to multiple sites including loading & unloading.
• Assist in demolishing existing structures to make way for new materials to be installed.
• Remove all debris & waste materials using shovels, rakes & wheelbarrows, etc.
• Operate cutting tools such as hand saw, vinyl cutters, nail hole punchers, etc.
• Pull out old vinyl siding, hardy panels, metal siding from existing building structure & dispose into appropriate bins.
• Assist tradesmen in finishing the inside of the house/building by filling nails, gluing joints of moldings, sanding wood molding.

• Completion of secondary school.
• Language:
  English.

• Some experience working at a general construction site would be an asset.

• Weekdays & weekends.
• Full time & Permanent.
• Hours:
  
  30-40hrs/week.
• Wage: $25/hour.
