Position: Recreation Leaders for After school Programs
Location: Colwood

Join West Shore Parks & Recreation as a Recreation Leader, providing after school care to children 5-12 years old. Engage kids in sports, arts, and crafts with flexible scheduling throughout the school year!

This auxiliary position is suited for enthusiastic individuals who inspire fun and learning in after school settings. You will collaborate with a small team to implement activities tailored to children's interests and needs. Opportunities for full-day shifts on Pro-D Days and during school breaks are also available, so please include your availability in your application.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and lead dynamic recreational programs for children

• Adapt to changing conditions and activity requirements

• Collaborate and communicate effectively as part of a team

• Deliver excellent customer service and maintain professionalism

• Create a welcoming and engaging environment for participants

Requirements:

• At least 19 years old

• 180+ hours of hands-on experience with kids aged 5–12

• Proof of 20 hours of workshop/training experience

• Up-to-date Emergency First Aid and CPR C/AED

• Familiarity with sports, arts, and drama
