Registered Care Aide – Westshore

Come join the Comfort Keepers team! We are looking for a Registered Care Aide to support clients in the Westshore area with shifts ranging from 3 to 12 hours.

• Assist in delivering client care and home support services under the direction of the health care team.
• Observe clients, report significant changes in presentation.
• Collaborate with the health care team, clients, and caregivers to maximize independence with ADLs and IADLs.
• Assist clients with bathing, showering, dressing, mobility, feeding, toileting.
• Assist with household activities including meal prep, shopping for groceries, laundry, etc.
• Motivate, encourage, involve clients in their care.
• Provide input and feedback in the care planning process to the health care team.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients and staff.
• Drive clients in their vehicle to appointments and outings.

• Successful graduation from a recognized Health Care Assistant Program or equivalent education, training, and experience with a BC Registry Number.
• Have or be able to obtain a criminal record check.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to deal with others effectively and respectfully.
• Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
• Ability to organize work.
• Ability to operate related equipment.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle is a must.
• First Aid/CPR certificate.
