Join Indigenous Perspectives Society as a Contract Instructor dedicated to child welfare training for Indigenous communities. Support social workers and enhance community capacity.
This role focuses on delivering essential training to front-line social workers in a collaborative environment. Our not-for-profit organization prioritizes the importance of culturally relevant education. If you are enthusiastic about adult education and community empowerment, we want you on our team to work closely with Indigenous families and Elders.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct child welfare training for social work professionals
• Provide specialized capacity-building training for communities
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Social Work or related field
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Child and Family Services
• Solid understanding of Indigenous Child Welfare legislation
• Knowledge of Indigenous cultural practices in British Columbia
• Proficient in MS Office and virtual training delivery
