Sr. Accountant

We are looking for a Senior Accountant to join our clients team on a contract basis in Langley, British Columbia. This role requires someone with strong attention to detail and expertise in accounting processes and financial analysis. As part of the manufacturing industry, you will play a critical role in ensuring accurate financial reporting and supporting various accounting functions.

Responsibilities:

• Perform month-end close activities, including preparing journal entries and reconciling accounts.

• Conduct balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variances to ensure accuracy.

• Handle intercompany transactions and ensure proper documentation and reporting.

• Support accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including expediting supplier invoices and resolving backlogs.

• Manage fixed asset accounting, including processing transactions and maintaining accurate records.

• Assist with corporate reporting and compliance requirements.

• Utilize advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, to analyze and organize financial data.

• Collaborate with various teams to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency.

• Provide support for payroll-related journal entries when needed.

• Ensure adherence to company policies and accounting standards in all financial activities.
