Employment Type:

Full-Time

Compensation: $100,000 – $120,000 annually (based on experience and qualifications)

About the Firm

Our client is a well-established mid‑size public practice firm with a diverse client base ranging from owner‑managed businesses and professionals to not‑for‑profit organizations and growing private companies. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Manager to join their leadership team.

This role offers an excellent opportunity for a CPA who enjoys client advisory work, staff mentorship, and managing engagements while maintaining a healthy work‑life balance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and review compilation and review engagements.
  • Oversee the preparation and review of corporate, personal, and trust tax returns.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and serve as a trusted business advisor.
  • Manage multiple engagements simultaneously and ensure deadlines are met.
  • Identify tax planning and business advisory opportunities for clients.
  • Mentor, train, and develop senior accountants, staff accountants, and CPA students.
  • Review working papers and provide constructive feedback to team members.
  • Assist partners with practice management, client development, and special projects.
  • Ensure compliance with professional standards and firm policies.
Qualifications
  • CPA designation in good standing.
  • 5+ years of progressive public practice experience.
  • Experience managing review engagements, compilations, and tax engagements.
  • Experience supervising and mentoring accounting staff.
  • Excellent communication and client relationship management skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency with Case Ware, Tax Cycle, Profile, and Microsoft Office Suite.
