Our growing public practice client in Surrey is looking to add a Senior Accountant. Reporting into the Manager, you will be responsible for client communication and mentoring junior staff as well. Your duties include bookkeeping, preparing year end financial statements and files, preparing personal tax returns and corporate tax returns.

• Communicate directly with clients and provide exceptional service.
• Mentor and support junior accounting staff.
• Perform bookkeeping and review accounting records.
• Prepare year‑end working paper files and financial statements.
• Prepare personal income tax returns (T1s).
• Prepare corporate income tax returns (T2s).
• Assist with various accounting, tax, and advisory engagements.
• Ensure work is completed accurately and within established deadlines.

• Strong team-oriented approach and collaborative attitude.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
• Qualified and client-focused demeanor.

• Minimum 5 years of public practice accounting experience preferred.
• CPA designation completed or nearing completion preferred.
• Strong planning, organizational, and time management skills.
• Ability to learn and adapt to new software and technology.
• Strong technical accounting and tax knowledge.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
