They are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accountant who likes to balance day to day duties while mentoring a small team.
Responsibilities Prepare and post month-end journal entries
Support the preparation of financial statements and management reports
Prepare and file monthly sales tax returns
Assist the Group CFO with year-end preparation and external reporting requirements
Handle all Cash Management and Accounts
Provide Payroll Support
Provide day- to day- guidance, mentorship and oversight to junior accounting staff
Provide business support to department managers
Participate in budgeting and forecasting activities as required.
Assist with ERP, accounting system, and workflow enhancements
Requirements 4+ years of progressive accounting experience including full cycling accounting
Experience providing month-end financial statements
Experience using Quick Books or Quick Books Online
Advance Microsoft Excel Skills
The ability to prioritize tasks and work well under pressure
Excellent problem solving skills
Excellent organizational skills, a time wizard
CPA designation would be considered an asset
Experience supervising or mentoring accounting staff
