Elevating Devices Safety Officer

Position: Full-Time Elevating Devices Safety Officer
Ensure safety in elevating devices as a full-time officer in Vancouver or Langley. This role focuses on education, inspections, and compliance with safety codes and standards.

You will be responsible for educating the public and industry on safety regulations while providing essential inspection services. With mentorship responsibilities for new Safety Officers, your insights will shape the understanding of safety practices across the board. Your commitment to maintaining and enhancing safety standards is crucial for public welfare.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive worksite inspections and audits

• Educate clients on relevant codes and safety requirements

• Mentor and train new Safety Officers in their roles

• Enforce compliance with safety regulations and provide documentation

• Perform ongoing research to update safety knowledge

Requirements:

• Familiarity with elevating devices and safety codes

• QEI Certification is desirable for applicants

• Minimum five years of relevant industry experience

• Strong analytical and report-writing skills

• Valid BC driver’s license with travel flexibility
